Locating and Replacing Keys

Locating Your Bike's Keys

When you purchase your Aventon Ebike, it will include 2 keys with the bike. The keys' function is to simply remove the battery from the bike. The keys are not used for an "ignition" function. During assembly, you will see the battery keys attached to the cables on your bike with a zip tie. (As shown below)

Remove the keys by carefully cutting the zip tie. Do not cut the brake or electrical cables by accident.

Replacement Keys

If you loose your key/s and need a replacement set, we can provide an invoice to purchase a new lock assembly (except Sinch Steo-Over) which will include two new keys. An Aventon dealer will need to swap the lock assembly for you in order for the new keys to be used on the bike. In the listing linked below, simply select the proper option of your bike in the drop down menu to purchase the compatible lock assembly. https://www.aventon.com/products/aventon-terminal-lock-assembly-with-key-set?variant=42675095929027

FOR SINCH STEP_OVER ONLY: This earlier model of Sinch has the lock assembly built into the battery itself instead of the bike so for this model only, we can place an order for a new set of keys. The key code on the lock cylinder and keys will need to be provided in order to create a duplicate set.
