Adding a fender set and/ or rack can provide much needed utility to your Ebike. Fender sets can provide coverage when riding on wet or off-road terrain and a front or rear rack can allow you to carry cargo with ease. Aventon has specific racks and fender sets that are compatible with specific bike models. Fender and rack sets can be installed on a bike at the same time or also individually.
Fenders are always sold in a set (front and rear w/ mounting hardware) and the racks are either sold as a front or rear rack (compatibility varies across models) and the rack mounting hardware is also included. Fenders are mounted via the fender mounting brackets as well as the fender stays which are arms attaching the fender to the bike frame or fork on either side. A front rack will be mounted directly to the bike frame's headtube using bolts that are pre-threaded into mounting points in the frame. The rear racks will generally mount to the seat stays of the frame either directly with hardware or with rack stays. The bottom of the rear rack will be mounted by threading bolts directly into the mounting points of the frame near the rear wheel dropouts.
Aftermarket fenders and rear racks are also available online but the fitment may vary as most of these are universal designs. As they may mount to the bike, the Aventon branded fenders and racks provide a guaranteed fit and have been tested to allow for proper clearance and angle of mounting.
