If you are unsure which model you have, It can be helpful to inspect the frame of the bike for the model name. The serial number, which is stamped into the frame (on all models) and also printed on a label located on the underside of the downtube (on later models) can also be key in identifying the exact model of Aventon bike you have in front of you.
