In order to prevent unwanted notifications and activation of the alarm, use the Aventon App to initiate "Transport Mode" before moving the bike. Ensure you have already paired your bike to the Aventon App before and have an active account.
Transport Mode with Battery Installed
- Power on the bike and open the Aventon App on your phone.
- With Bluetooth connected, select "More Settings" within the Aventon App.
- Scroll down to "Transport Mode" and click this option. Select "Confirm".
4. The bike will now power off as Transport Mode is initiated.
5. Now the bike will no longer provide notifications or alarms until powered back on at your destination.
Transport Mode with Battery Removed
In the case that the user would like to remove the battery during transport to lighten the weight of the bike/s on a bike rack but still want to engage "Transport Mode", follow the steps below.
- Power on the bike and open the Aventon App on your phone.
- With Bluetooth connected, select "More Settings" within the Aventon App.
- Scroll down to "Transport Mode" to locate this option in the app.
- On the bike's display, hold down the "+" and "-" buttons to access the display menu.
- Select the "Battery Lock" option using the center button.
- Press the center button again to unlock the battery. The bike will power off, and the battery will eject. Remove the battery.
- With your Aventon App still on the settings menu, you will see a red banner that states "Connect bluetooth to enable settings". This means the Bluetooth is not connected at the moment.
8. Hold down the power button on the bicycle's display once again. The ACU has enough internal power to allow the Bluetooth to reconnect to your device. The bike's display will remain off.
NOTE: Do not release the power button or the connection will be lost. The power button must be held down for the duration of the next few steps to stay connected.
9. The red banner will disappear once the Bluetooth is connected. Once this happens, the user will be able to engage transport mode.
10. Once the Bluetooth is reconnected, select "Transport Mode" and then "Confirm".
11. If Transport Mode is initiated successfully, the "Enter transport mode successfully!" banner will be displayed on the App.
NOTE: (If connection is lost, you may also see a "Bluetooth disconnected, please try again" banner afterwards.)
12. Once Transport Mode is successfully engaged, the bike will no longer provide notifications or alarms until powered back on at your destination.
NOTE: If there is difficulty entering Transport Mode using the following steps, the user also has the option to manually turn off the movement detection and/ or alarm to accomplish the same status that Transport Mode provides. Follow the steps below for this method:
- Power on the bike and open the Aventon App on your phone.
- With Bluetooth connected, select "More Settings" within the Aventon App.
- Scroll down the menu and toggle "OFF" the "Alarm" and "Unusual Activity Detection" options.
4. On the bike's display, hold down the "+" and "-" buttons to access the display menu.
5. Select the "Battery Lock" option using the center button.
6. Press the center button again to unlock the battery. The bike will power off, and the battery will eject. Remove the battery.
